Wow, it's been a while since I've updated this! I guess I should start with the show information...
Come Fall for Rats will be at the Washington County Fairground in the Cloverleaf Building. The physical address is:
873 NE 34th Ave, Hillsboro OR 97124
The show will start at 11:00am and end around 5:00pm. Follow this link for more information about admission and the show : http://ratspacnw.org/events/comefallforrats/
I plan on showing quite a few rats this go round as I will be showing a few that are currently unstandardized to start the process of getting them standardized, so that's fun! Mostly though I will have babies available for adoption there which is not something I do very often. I will go in to more below, but before I do please note that if you are interested in adopting babies at the show you will need to fill out an adoption application located on the Adoption Info. page on here and be approved for adoption PRIOR to the show. If I don't have an adoption app. on file for you you will not be able to adopt from me at the show. This is just so that I can make sure all of my babies are going to pre-screened and hopefully appropriate homes
This is a unique opportunity for anyone seeking to adopt as you will be able to meet the babies before choosing who to adopt, which is not the norm since I run a closed rattery for the rats health and welfare. Since I will be showing though and have a post show quarentine home lined up to take all the rats that went to the show in for three weeks after the show I feel ok bringing the babies along as well so that people can meet them. Again though, you will need to be approved prior to the show in order to meet the babies and adopt.
Ok, now on to who I'm bring for adoption and why:
I will be bringing babies from the SURVIVOR litter, who were rescue/surrenders from a couple who had adopted from me and decided that since they were now dating their 3 month old rats should too. Luckily, and I say that with sarcasm, only one of the girls ended up being pregnant and I know from the couple which boy was the father, so in some way that's good only because then I have information on them and what their line is like. The babies are all marked mink dumbo's and are very cute. Once I get my camera to work I will post pictures on a litter page for them on here so that if you are interested you can see them. Their parents are on the Past Litters page under the Alaskan Litter. They are TOPI Denali and TOPI Gustavus, if you are interesred and would like to see them.
I will also have 3 boys and 3 girls available from a couple of adoption returns due to allergies and a change in college rules. Their ages range from 3 months to 5 months and they are all wonderfully squishy little things. Again, once my camera is operational I will get pictures posted of them, if you are interested though I can give you more individual details Some of their pictures are already on here and if you would like I can direct you to them. Just let me know
Ok, so I think that about covers it for any updates. Hopefully I will see a lot of you at the show!
